Fiberglass geogrid is a kind of new favorable earthwork base material to strengthen the road surface and roadbed. This product is knitted by fiberglass filaments and coated with an inorganic sizing agent.

Introduction:
Fiberglass Geogrid is a kind of plane warp knitted mesh material with alkali-free fiberglass yarn as main body and then coated with bitumen, also called asphalt geogrid. Fiberglass Geogrid gives full protection for the fiberglass matrix and greatly improves the Biaxial Geogrid mesh retaining wall's wear and shear resistance. The most significant performance is the compound properties of the fiberglass yarn and asphalt mixture, which protects the fiberglass base material sufficiently and enhances its abrasive resistance and anti-shear ability. Thus the material is used for road surface reinforcement and resist crack and rut avoiding which solves the problem of hard-to-protect of asphalt pavement.
For Fiberglass Geogrid, we have two kinds: normal one and the self-adhesive one:
For the self-adhesive type, there is a layer coating of self - pressure sensitive adhesive. Not only can keep the normal product's performance, but also ensure the Biaxial Geogrid Mesh Retaining Walls combine tightly with the contacting surface. Self-adhesive Fiberglass Geogrid has the features of construction convenient and paving leveling.

Application:

1. The old asphalt concrete pavement is reinforced to strengthen the asphalt surface layer to prevent diseases.

2. The cement concrete pavement is converted into a composite pavement to suppress reflection cracks caused by plate shrinkage.

3. Road extension and improvement project to prevent cracks caused by the junction of new and old and uneven settlement.

4. Reinforcement treatment of soft soil foundation is conducive to the consolidation of soft soil water separation, effectively inhibits settlement, uniform stress distribution, and enhances the overall strength of the roadbed.

5. The semi-rigid base of the newly built road produces shrinkage cracks, and the reinforcement is reinforced to prevent the pavement cracks caused by the reflection of the base cracks.

1, What is the difference between uniaxial and biaxial geogrid?
Biaxial geogrids are those that exhibit the same strength in both the machine directions MD and cross-machine directions CMD while uniaxial geogrids exhibit the primary strength in the machine direction with minimal strength, enough to maintain the aperture structure, in the cross-machine direction.
